The International Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Program is offered by the Ulm University of Applied Sciences to international students. All courses of the program are held in English. It is necessary to coordinate the courses that students want to take, with the corresponding department at their home university. Courses can be either compulsory, elective or just optional. Attendance at the lectures is required.

German Language Courses
The Ulm University of Applied Sciences offers intensive German language courses for students with no or little knowledge of German. The course takes place before the start of the International Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Program (IMEP) in September and runs two weeks. Students with previous knowledge of German can take part in an introductory one-week block course to refresh their German and learn about aspects of culture and daily life. During the term, the IMEP is accompanied by parallel German language classes at different levels.
- Students have to be nominated by their home university. The home university sends an e-mail with names and e-mail-addresses to Stephanie.Wagner@thu.de.
- Students receive a link for the online-application.
Important Dates / Exams
Arrival and Orientation will take place in the beginning of September or October, depending on whether students participate in one of the intensive courses in September.
Final exams will take place during the last two weeks before Christmas.
