The following measures apply to all people present in the THU's buildings and grounds. They have been agreed by the President's Office, and will be regularly reviewed with regard to their effectiveness and necessity, and will be adapted to the current situation as required. In addition, the THU has issued occupational safety standards and occupational health protective measures for its employees, for the duration of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. These are intended to protect the health of all people involved in operating the THU.
Fundamental regulations at THU
Always wear a mask covering your nose and mouth when indoors at the THU. Exceptions to this general rule are, until further notice, only when you are actually eating, and the situation for the individual workstations of employees – in as far as there are not already special regulations in place due to contact with the public. You must also wear a mask covering your nose and mouth during classes and lectures etc. even when you are sitting down.
Protecting health is the top priority. Distancing is by far the best protection against infection. For this reason, you must wear a mask covering your nose and mouth in the common areas of the THU buildings (corridors, etc.), as well as in all situations where a safety distance to other people of at least 1.5 m is not possible all the time. This also applies to the study stations located in the common areas.
Everyone at THU has the right to demand a safety distance of at least 1.5 m from their conversation partners. Service, teaching and laboratory personnel can also demand students wear a mask covering their noses and mouths.
In accordance with the Corona Order issued by the State of Baden-Württemberg, an attendance register must be filled out for all THU events. This makes contact tracing much easier if there is an infection. Your personal details will be recorded exclusively for this purpose and deleted after four weeks. In the Corona Data Protection Information we explain in detail how we will handle your data as part of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) protection measures.
If you feel ill – especially if you have symptoms of respiratory illness or fever – for your own protection and for the protection of everyone, please stay at home and contact a doctor.
Access to the building for non-members of THU (e.g. suppliers, cooperation partners etc.) must be restricted to a minimum. The relevant contact partner must inform them about the infection protection regulations at the THU.
For all of us, the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) protection measures require mutual understanding, pragmatic solutions, timely discussions about potential difficulties and a large degree of individual responsibility and self-organization.
Employees can find the THU occupational safety standards and other regulations in the intranet (you must log in first).
