Getting here by bike

If you are fit and active and need to commute between the Ulm University of Applied Sciences' different sites, cycling is a good option. This is the perfect opportunity to free your mind after a demanding lecture and enjoy the fresh air. What's more, at peak times you can get to your destination much faster than by bus or car – and you don't have to hunt for a parking space.

Parking

There is a limited amount of free parking for students on the Prittwitzstrasse and Albert-Einstein-Allee campuses. You can also park on the public roads. Since parking options are very limited, we recommend you come by bike, or with public transport. If this is not possible, please optimize parking space use by car sharing.

Transport | Special conditions for students

Ulm University of Applied Sciences is ideally connected to local and national transport links. The Donau-Iller-Nahverkehrsbund-GmbH (DING) organizes local public transport in and around Ulm. With your student ID card, you can travel for free on public transport throughout the entire DING region, on weekdays from 6 pm and all day at the weekend or on public holidays.

When you start the first semester of your studies at Ulm University of Applied Sciences and register your main residence as being in Ulm, you will receive a semester ticket for the DING region, free of charge. For all subsequent semesters, the DING Semesterticket for the entire network currently costs 129 € and is valid for one semester. You can get the semester ticket at the SWU Service Center Neue Mitte. You'll find all other information about transport and the DING local and regional transport network here.

Smoking zones

Smoking is forbidden on all of the Ulm University of Applied Sciences campuses as a matter of principle. Smoking is only permitted in the marked areas outside the buildings. These smoking zones are shown on the maps for the two locations and marked on-site by a little post.
