Promoting young talent together

Since the winter semester 2011/12, with the help of businesses and private benefactors, Ulm University of Applied Sciences has been awarding scholarships to students. The scholarships are awarded to gifted students who are expected to perform (or have already performed) excellently in their studies and career. Alongside the student's performance so far and his/her career to date, the student's social engagement, sense of responsibility and particular social, family or personal circumstances are taken into account.

The federal government doubles private contributions

The student participant receives 300 EUR per month, whereby a private contribution of 150 EUR is supplemented by another 150 EUR from the federal government.

A private contribution of 1,800 EUR per year is needed to support a student for two semesters.

Every partial contribution from private benefactors is welcome.

Advantages for sponsors

With a donation of 1800 EUR per year, businesses and private sponsors set an example for social responsibility.

Within a legally defined framework, the benefactor can specify from which subject area or degree programme the sponsored student should come.

In addition to financial support, you can also provide immaterial support (e.g. internships or student projects), thus awakening interest in your company.
You will be publicly honoured by the Ulm University of Applied Sciences.

You are supporting the region and helping the formation of relationships between science and industry.
The sponsorship is a donation and therefore tax deductible.

Application

Take the opportunity to receive a grant of 300 EUR per month, which can also offer you contact with managers and potential employers.

The scholarship is not income dependent and can be combined with the BAföG.

However, as a matter of principle, it is not possible to combine the scholarship with other grants. The invitation for applications takes place at the start of each winter semester.
