THU is a center for life, learning and work for more than 350 employees and around 4000 students. It has set itself the goal of creating working/research/studying conditions which promote health – and which strengthen the personal skills and potential of employees and students. Sustainable, health-promoting structures are being established in order to have motivated, flexible and health-conscious THU members.
The implementation of offers and measures for promoting health requires the coordinated cooperation of many different professions and participants (e.g. occupational health physicians, occupational safety specialists, social and addiction advice services, student representatives, staff committees, the human resources department, workplace integration management (BEM) representatives, student services, the representative for sustainable development and many more) and can only be effective in the long term if promotion of health is implemented as a cross-functional activity. Active managers, employees and students have an important role to play in society by acting as multipliers for promoting health. You, too, can become a health ambassador!
